Abstract
Objectives: This study aimed to design and provide health education programs with regard to preventing the effects of fine dust on the elderly, as well as to analyze whether there are differences in the improvements of knowledge, attitude, and practice between the educated and non-educated groups.

Methods: The data were collected through ¡°Developing a Visiting Health Education Program of Groups Sensitive to Particulate Pollution¡± project. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Wilcoxon¡¯s rank-sum test, t-test, ¥ö2 test, and multiple logistic regression analysis.

Results: The analyses of simple pre- and post-score differences that did not adjust control variables showed statistically significant improvements in terms of the educated group's awareness of the fine dust, actions to prevent fine dust exposure, and attitude that such steps could protect their health. In a multiple logistic regression analysis that was adjusted for control variables, improvement in the educated group was significantly more than that in the non-educated group.

Conclusion: In general, the elderly are known for having less educational effects due to aging.
However, the elderly can also improve their knowledge and behavior to prevent fine dust exposure through continuous education.
